[NAT instance] Disable source/destination checks not working

2

I tried creating an NAT instance follow by https://docs.aws.amazon.com/vpc/latest/userguide/VPC_NAT_Instance.html#EIP_Disable_SrcDestCheck.

But when I selected the NAT instance, choose Actions, Networking, Change source/destination check, enabling popup was not showing.

I want to make sure this AWS feature is working or not? Thanks

I changed the UI mode to default instead of "New EC2 Experience"(switch on the left top screen). After that "Disable source/destination" works.

I'm seeing the popup. Could be a browser issue. Try switching to another browser. Or fire up CloudShell and just issue the CLI command.

  • Can you tell me what browser you are using? I tested on chrome(windows, mac), safari, opera(mac), firefox(mac) and it did not work at all.

  • Chrome on Windows.

I'm seeing the same - "Actions, Networking, Change source/destination check" does nothing.

You need to select the NAT gateway and then under Details you will see Primary Network Interface ID or ENI. Clicking on the ENI will redirect you to the ENI page and from there you can click on the ENI and then the option to change Source/Destination check is available for the user to change.
