Strategies for logical conditions in Check Attributes blocks


I'm trying to set-up a contact flow with logic such as "value IS NOT EQUAL TO x" or "value DOES NOT START WITH x". I do this fairly often in other software as it can simplify the logical conditions in the system overall. Is there a way to do this in Connect? I haven't found a way so far.

Write a Lambda that does it for you.. but one additional step and additional cost for invocation of Lambda.
Or Transfer to a "decision flow" with common logic and then resume on origin flow.
