Hello, For email application usage, we recommend that you use Elastic IP addresses, not a regular Public IP addresses. You can only assign static reverse DNS records to the Elastic IP addresses, not Public IP addresses.
Hello, Thanks for the IP address. Please provide the Email Domain Name and the error.
Hello.
You can add a record to a hosted zone registered with Route53 by following the steps in the document below.
https://docs.aws.amazon.com/Route53/latest/DeveloperGuide/resource-record-sets-creating.html
Hello Riku, Thanks for your answer,
I already did the PTR registration directly in Route 53 as you indicate, but the problem is that it does not recognize when validating, something else is needed but I do not understand what it could be.
With this service I validate the PTR record: https://mxtoolbox.com/SuperTool.aspx?action=ptr%3afigaptierradenecuentros.com&run=toolpage
The question is whether Amazon allows creating PTR records directly from the Route 53 console for Elastic IPs.
Thank you very much.
What is the email domain name? That MX Toolbox link doesn't work for me. It looks like you're trying to query for figaptierradenecuentros.com. Please paste in the error content, as opposed to just the link.
Hello Randy, Thanks for your answer
The IP 52.86.41.66 is the same for Private IP and Elastic IP.
Hello Randy,
Domain: figaptierradeencuentros.com
Error message: (https://mxtoolbox.com/SuperTool.aspx?action=ptr%3a52.86.41.66&run=toolpage) It returns the URL ec2-52-86-41-66.compute-1.amazonaws.com instead of the expected one with the domain figaptierradeencuentros.com
(Screenshot attached).
We need to have the PTR record correct in order to use the Amazon SES service.
Thank you.

For ElasticIP addresses, I think you need to set up reverse lookup records using the steps described in the document below. https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AWSEC2/latest/UserGuide/elastic-ip-addresses-eip.html#Using_Elastic_Addressing_Reverse_DNS
