hacker hacked my acc and use my ec2 ( 34.000 instace c5a.4xlarge)

My account was hacked by someone, by mistake I accidentally uploaded my access key on GitHub but now the problem is solved

but my question is how come the hacker made 34,000 ec2 instances of type c5a.4xlarge (16 CPUs) in 17 regions using ami-0ee23bfc74a881de5 while my account only has a limit of 512 in 3 regions (Virginia, Ohio, Oregon)

a few days later my friend also experienced the same thing, his account was also hacked and ec2 he was used by hackers and experienced the exact same thing as me does this ami-0ee23bfc74a881de5 have a hacker? because the 2 accounts that were hacked by ec2 always use the ami

It's an authenticated Ubuntu AMI, so it's unlikely to have been hacked

  • but he can create 34000 c5a.4xlarge instances in 1 aws account. while the limit is only 512 . just logically 512 : 16 = 32 instances

is there a possibility that he has a special trick by exploiting existing loopholes?

  • It's very likely that it was just displayed on the screen and not actually activated. If activated beyond the limit, the EC2 dashboard may show.

  • i am sure its all active because i looked in ec2 global and instances running 34000 instances and my aws bill reached 200k$
