Hi,

After creating your account typically you want to:

  1. Navigate to EC2.
  2. Launch your instance from the provided AMIs.
  3. Configure your instance settings (including security settings to allow access)
  4. Connect to your instance by selecting your instance on the ec2 dashboard, Click connect and follow the instructions.

Check out this link to get started. https://aws.amazon.com/ec2/getting-started/

Do note that your resources will only be available in the region you select when launched.

  • It is mandatory to use current region, or we can use any location?

  • Hi Dhrupal, yes, ec2 are regional so it matters the region you are in.

Hello , Yes it is important be in the region in which your EC2 Instance is launched. EC2 Instance is a region specific resource.
