Workspaces Client - Ubuntu 24.04.2

Linux WorkSpaces client on Ubuntu 24.04.2 displays a message stating it will reach end of life on March 31 and needs to be upgraded. However, after installing the latest client, it shows the following message when attempting to connect:

ERROR_TYPE_SESSION_PROVISION

PCoIP Workspace streaming is not supported on this platform. Install this client on Ubuntu 20 to stream PCoIP Workspaces.

If the problem persists, contact your Workspaces administrator.

ERR_PCOIP_UNSUPPORTED_ON_PLATFORM

Has anyone successfully connected to their PCoIP WorkSpaces on Ubuntu 24.04.2? When will support be available?

AWS WorkSpaces client for Linux does not currently support Ubuntu 24.04. That’s why you see the error. Supported Ubuntu versions: 20.04 and 22.04. For now, you can:

Use the client on Ubuntu 20.04 or 22.04 instead.

If possible, access your WorkSpace via the web client.

Wait for AWS to update the client to support Ubuntu 24.04. No official ETA yet.
