RDS Automatic Backup Retention Period

If "automatic backup" is enabled in RDS with the "backup retention period" = zero days, do I assume correctly that there is effectively no backup? I would imagine that the backup retention period should be at least 1 day to be able to restore lost or corrupted data.

Hello.

I think that if you change the backup retention period to 0 days, the backup will be invalidated.
