How can I freeze (not close) my account?

0

I plan on using this AWS account in the future but I don’t need it right now. I’m getting charged small fees so I just want it to be frozen where I can unfreeze it later when I need it. How can I freeze my account without closing it?

Hi. There is no freeze status at AWS account so to minimize fees, the way is deleting all unnecessary resources and do not use that account. Check unnecessary resources from console and delete them.

You may find billed resources by following the link.

Note: Once you close account, you cannot resume account after 90 day from closure. And If you resume within 90 days, you will be billed for resources up to the date you closed. In addition, once you closed AWS accont you can not use same Email address to new AWS account.
