Route53 losing settings

Question

For the second time in a certain amount of time, only some Route53 configuration records are simply removed, such as some aliases or cnames.
Is anyone else facing this kind of problem?
It causes a lot of problems, as it shuts systems down, stops APIs, etc.

I would start by looking into CloudTrail logs for the who/what/when of the API calls causing this. See:
