Is there any possibility that the cache is still in CloudFront?

Hi,
As you mention that you re-issued a new SSL certificate, I would suggest you to have a deep read of this article focused on 502 errors after new SSL cetificate: https://saturncloud.io/blog/how-to-troubleshoot-502-errors-after-updating-ssl-on-amazon-cloudfront/
You may well find the cause of your issue in it.
