Using our own computing servers instead of Amazon servers?

0

Hi all,

Can we use our own computing servers to train and test our models? Or is it necessary to use Amazon servers (and therefore pay) to train and test our models? I am asking because I am thinking to participate in this challenge with some undergraduate students but it would be quite expensive to pay for all students...

Thank you in advance for your answer.

Best regards,
Pierre

You need to use AWS servers... have you considered participating in AWS Educate? It provides resources (including AWS credits that can offset most/most of your costs) for students, professors, and education institutions. https://aws.amazon.com/education/awseducate/

Ah - correcting my statement: I should have said that AWS doesn't provide any specific tools/utilities to automate construction of the environment to make this easy.
