Unable to change Delete Protection on QLDB Ledger
Hi AWS Team,
I'm trying to delete a QLDB Ledger which requires disabling Delete Protection. When I attempt to save the Ledger setting after making this change, I'm met with the error:
The encryption feature for updating an AWS KMS customer managed CMK (customer master key) is not enabled for account 344#####552. To add your account to the allow list, contact AWS Support.
Do I really need to request access to this to be able to adjust the ledger settings?
Thanks, Kent.
Hi Kent,
I'm sorry you are seeing this error, this seems to be a problem with the way we check to see whether you are using this new feature (customer-managed CMK) of QLDB. I apologize for the error! We are working on fixing it right now.
Many thanks,
-Ian.
Hi again Kent,
This issue was caused by a recent update to our AWS QLDB Console software which depended on a not-yet released feature from our backend service. We have reverted this change and your console should be working again! Please accept my apologies for the inconvenience and don't hesitate to contact us again if you still see problems.
Many thanks,
-Ian.
Hi Ian,
Thanks for the quick turnaround. I can confirm this is now working as expected.
Cheers, Kent.
