Trouble Pulling Images with API without Sitestripe

0

I have been an Amazon Associate for years and the Sitestripe was so easy to pull images for specific product. Now that Sitestripe is going away, I'm having trouble figuring out how to get images. I do not have programming experience so I don't even understand the directions.

Can someone please put it in layman's terms? If I find a particular item, how do I easily get an image of it? I don't want to search for product, because I already know which specific priducts I want to feature on my website/blog.

I have called Amazon about 18 times and nobody can tell me. There has to be a way that when I am on a product page that I like, I can easily click a button for the image.

I have my API key and secret key but I don't know where to go from there. Please help. There are so many of us affiliates who are struggling with pulling pictures with the API.

And none of the tags on this forum seem to fit, so if someone tells me what to tag it with, I can repost this question with different tags.

This is the email we received: This is a reminder that on December 1, 2023, two of the SiteStripe features “Image” and “Text+Image” will no longer be available. Links created on your site using Image and Text+Image will stop working December 31, 2023. Please remove them from your content as soon as possible if you have not already done so to avoid broken images on your site. Please note that standard text links from SiteStripe will continue to be available and work appropriately.

You can still include images with your links through our Product Advertising API (PA-API)*. Follow these steps to get started:

  1. Create a PA-API API key in Associates Central
  2. Make a single call to the GetItems operation
  3. Render the returned image URL on your site
