System status check failed and reboot and stop are not working

System and instance status checks are failing since 6AM EST

I tried rebooting with no effect. Then I tried stopping the instance which resulted in the Instance State changing to Stopping. After 15+ minutes in Stopping state I tried to "Force stop instance" but it is still in the Stopping state.

Well it finally move to the Stopped state about 2 hours after I initially tried to stop it. Then it started with no issues (with a new IP).
