Error when claiming Amazon Connect phone number

Starting yesterday (7/3/2022), any time I attempt to request a number either through the Amazon Connect control panel or via an API, I receive an error message that reads "We couldn't claim your phone number. Please try again. If you need help, please contact AWS Support". I have tried this with both DID and Toll-Free numbers and receive the same result. I only have 3 numbers active (I had 5 but I released those), so I don't think it's a quota issue unless there is a wait between release and request. Anyone have any suggestions?

Contact AWS Support for this issue. I had an error before that says I've reached the limit of phone numbers even though I have no phone numbers claimed yet in my Amazon Connect instances in any region. AWS Support was the one who fixed my issue.
