SES "manual approval is prohibitive to adoption

This whole "manual approval" process is completely insane. Its one thing to request quota increases, but to prevent sending to any outside recipient without submitting some custom email to support, then waiting for ???? amount of time and praying they get back to you before you can even you use the most basic features of the service is ridiculous.

Any other email provider would be out business instantly with this type of obtuse on-boarding process. Please do better AWS. This is beyond frustrating. Every piece of our infrastructure is deployed through one-click in CloudFormation... except this absurd process.
