Dear Customer - Thanks for reaching out - I wanted to give my thoughts on the matter here
The way to increase this instance's storage is by restoring a snapshot to a larger instance. There are 2 ways to restore the current snapshot into a new, larger instance in LightSail:
- If you have an existing/recent snapshot of the LightSail database(You cannot create a new snapshot while the instance storage is already full). Refer the below link for complete steps on creating a new lightsail database from snapshot:
Creating a database from a snapshot in Amazon Lightsail - https://lightsail.aws.amazon.com/ls/docs/en_us/articles/amazon-lightsail-creating-a-database-from-snapshot
- The other method to achieve this would be through 'Emergency Restore':
Creating a database from a point-in-time backup in Amazon Lightsail - https://lightsail.aws.amazon.com/ls/docs/en_us/articles/amazon-lightsail-creating-a-database-from-point-in-time-backup
hope this helps in your project
