Hi.By "encrypt the static IP address" do you mean accessing the IP address of the site via SSL? (as in https://<ip_address>) . If there is no use case that must be done in the access case to the Wordpress site by IP address, it is not necessary.
According to the document of AWS Lightsail it seems that you can't publish certificate for ip addresses.
It lets you request certificates only for the domains and subdomains that you specify when making your request

Thank you, that is exactly what i was meaning. I assumed not as it would not let me, but as its my first time i did not want to make an assumption. There is no case where some one will/should be directly accessing it via the IP. Thanks again.
