Do i need to encrypt the static IP on a LightSail WordPress site?

Question

I am new to setting up hosts form scratch and have a question about securing the static IP. 
I have set up the WordPress site on light sail and followed the instruction to add the SSL certificate through the console to the Domain and www.Domain.
My question is, do i need to encrypt the static IP address? 
I have tried to add it to the process when adding the SSL certificate but it does not accept an IP.
Do you not encrypt the static IP, or do you need to go through a different process?

Hi.By "encrypt the static IP address" do you mean accessing the IP address of the site via SSL? (as in https://) . If there is no use case that must be done in the access case to the Wordpress site by IP address, it is not necessary.

According to the document of AWS Lightsail it seems that you can't publish certificate for ip addresses.
