character limit for aws comprehend - detect_sentiment

We're consistently facing issue where we see same sentiment score for any text with characters > 500. The score seems to reflect score of only first 500 characters although documentation mentions it to 5000 characters. Could anyone comfirm if the limit is actually 500 for sentiment analysis and not 5000?

Amazon Comprehend takes 5000 characters (5000 bytes) for detect_sentiment API. If you find it often happen, create a support ticket including the text in it. Many thanks.
