Cloudwatch Alarm for two accounts

0

Hello, I have a Question, I managed to configure AWS Cludwatch with Cross-Account Observability and I would like to have all of my alarms from all of the accounts in the monitoring Account, however I cannot find all of the alarms from different Accounts, how does it work exactly? Do I need to recreate the alarms on the Monitoring Account? Is it possible to have one Alarm that checks all the same metrics just on different Accounts?

When in the Observability account, go to All Alarms. Then you will need to select the Account from the Drop Down menu at the top of the page called labeled View Data: From here, select which Account you wish to view the alarms from

  • Hello, I cannot see the Drop Down menu you are mentioning, I selected the CloudWatch Service > Alarms on the left hand side > All alarms and then there I can see Alarms with a Search Bar at the top and 3 different Drop Downs called: Alarm state: Alarm type: Actions status:

When I clock on the gear setings beside the page number to select which columns to show, there are also only these: Name State Last state update Description Conditions Actions State details Metric name Namespace Statistic Period Resource Dimensions Expression Type Cross account configuration

Hi, I believe the dropdown mentioned by Gary only appears when you activate the following too https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AmazonCloudWatch/latest/monitoring/cloudwatch_xaxr_dashboard.html
