AWS Data Analytics - Use of Java

0

Hi All, I've started learning AWS Data Analytics. While going through study material I have found use of Java code/programming.

Can someone please guide me what level of Java expertise needed to get expertise in AWS data analytics?

Are you talking about the AWS Data Analytics certification, or in general? I don't remember having to do any Java coding when getting the certification, and it's not listed in the study guide.

As far as skills required for "expertise" in AWS Data Analytics in general (i.e. as a practitioner), I can't answer that, as there are many tools, languages, and ways on the data analytics journey.

  • Hi Dan_H,

Agree. There are many tools, languages in AWS Data Analytics.

My question is on Java. I can see in "Kinesis Data Stream" study material, all examples are based on Java. I wanted to understand what proficiency one should need in Java to be able to perform tasks in AWS? (Beginner, intermediate or Mastery)?

I can also see, one can use other languages like Python, but it still uses Daemon which calls Java.

QQ: What study material are you referencing? Is it a general "learn AWS Kinesis" or something else?

The easiest way to evaluate skill level might just be to look at some code, and see if you're comfortable with it?

There are 4 more in the examples documentation on AWS Docs
