Contact nat settings

Hello

I'm inquiring about NAT.

Currently, I want to set it as IGW through NAT and communicate with ec2 on the Internet, what should I do?

  • Hi, thanks for the question. Can you provide more context on what you are trying to accomplish?

Is this only outbound traffic from EC2 to the internet? ie: EC2 communicating out to the internet for updates, etc.

Is this inbound from the internet? Meaning are you trying to expose EC2 instances publicly so people can reach them? Like hosting a website.

Are you looking for only management access to EC2 instances over the internet? So they wouldn't be publicly accessible, but you would need to SSH to them for management access.

    Let us know. Thanks!

Hello, you can follow this procedure to create your NAT Gateway. And you will have to modify the route tables of your subnets, see here.
