Multi Region-Active Directory

0

A customer has a AD connector in the N.Virginia region to connect our Active directory to AWS to use Workspaces. They are looking to expand to the London Region, and will create a new AD connector to connect that region to the domain controller.

My question is can they use the same Active directory user that they used in the Virginia region? Or would do they need to create a new user?

They can use the same AD user. As you stated, they have to make a new AD Connector local to the VPC they want to use already; that's their only new requirement.

The "one WorkSpace per user per AD" rule is more accurately, "one WorkSpace per user per AD per Directory Service instance." You could create infinite WorkSpaces for the same AD user as long as they were each in different AD Connector directories.
