VPN Client / macOS 26 / Tahoe

The AWS VPN Client currently has compatibility issues with macOS 26 (Tahoe). This is consistent with previous compatibility challenges observed with newer macOS versions.

Based on available information, the AWS VPN Client officially supports macOS Monterey (12.0), Ventura (13.0), and Sonoma (14.0), but does not yet list support for macOS Sequoia (15.x) or the newer Tahoe (26). Users have reported similar issues with macOS Sequoia, including problems with adding profiles and connecting to VPN endpoints.

Additionally, the AWS VPN Client is not yet natively compatible with Apple Silicon processors and still relies on Rosetta 2 emulation to run its Intel-based code, which may contribute to compatibility issues with newer macOS versions.

There is currently no publicly announced quick fix or beta version of the AWS VPN Client specifically for macOS Tahoe. Until AWS officially supports macOS Tahoe or releases an update, you may need to:

1. Wait for an official update from AWS that supports macOS Tahoe
2. Consider using an older macOS version if possible
3. Contact AWS Support directly to report the issue and inquire about upcoming support

Similar issues with previous AWS VPN Client versions (like v5.0.0) have been resolved through updates, so it's likely AWS will address this compatibility issue in a future release.
