Route 53 domain transfer out - unable to get auth code

0

I go to https://us-east-1.console.aws.amazon.com/route53/home#DomainListing:

I Unlock my domains. The domains are .com domains. Then I click on the button "Get code" next to the text "Authorization code" I get the following message in a popup

"Sorry, but an unexpected error has occurred while getting your auth code. Please retry again. See system status for more information on current system status."

Looking in whois for aerobytetech.com I can see:

Updated Date: 2023-09-16T17:55:19Z
Creation Date: 2023-09-12T00:08:14Z

There is a minimum transfer time of 60 days enforced on a new registration. You can read about this here on the ICANN website: https://www.icann.org/resources/pages/name-holder-faqs-2017-10-10-e (see Point 3: Why can't I transfer a domain name I just registered to another registrar?). Your domain was created on September 12, 2023, so only 5 days back as I write this.

You will have to wait 60 days from the date you registered it to transfer it to a new registrar. In the mean-time you can just point the DNS delegation in Route53 to a different DNS host - if that is your desire - and the domain will continue to function normally.
