Docker image outdated

A new Amazon Linux version was released on 11/3, but the Docker Hub amazonlinux image has not been updated. The new version included upgrades to glibc which align with versions in Amazon's repos, but are incompatible with the versions included in previous releases. The end result is you can no longer install gcc on the currently published docker image; it fails due to dependency conflicts.

Are there plans to build a new Docker image from the latest Amazon Linux release 2.0.20211103.0?

I can't explain it, but it appears this was actually an issue with Amazon's repos and not the Docker image. The issue appears to have been fixed overnight. It is true that the Docker Hub image is still out-of-date by almost a month, but it doesn't appear that was the case of my issue.
