My Route 53 MX records are not propagating for google admin to activate gmail. How can I fix this? I can send emails from my business email but am not receiving inbound emails.

I added the mx records, provided by google admin instructions, into the hosted zone in Route 53, alongside my NS & SOA records. When I run the dig command on an external website/ dig-ns-lookup finder, I see my NS record and SOA record, but not my MX. it has been almost 10 hours since I added the MX records. I saw somewhere online that AWS records usually take 60 seconds to propagate , but sometimes can take up to 4-8hrs. It has been longer than that! Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Are creating this in the correct zone.

This also needs to be in a public zone. If you could share screen shot,(But with Sensitive Info removed) that could help here also.
