AWS CRR Monitoring solution
HI, a client has implemented the following solution. https://aws.amazon.com/solutions/implementations/cross-region-replication-monitor/ No error at installation, however some fields of the dynamoDB table are not updated (replication status being one of them). I have been trying to find what could be the reason but without success. wondering if any one faced the same issue before ?

Cloudwatch provides the replication metrics as a part of the S3 and needs to be enabled. It may be a good idea to check if this meets your requirement and build a Cloudwatch dashboard using cross region-cross account which is available oob. https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AmazonS3/latest/userguide/replication-metrics.html https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AmazonCloudWatch/latest/monitoring/cloudwatch_xaxr_dashboard.html
Hope this will address the scenario being provided by the solution template.
after some troubleshooting, the solution was to update some S3 permissions

Thanks Phani, it is true that you can get some details on the replication but not the one requested by this customer. The AWS solution provided works well. I feel it could be permission related in the client set-up.
