SSM easy way - using instance name

Hi, I started using AWS-SSM, so I can use the SSO solution to connect to the EC2-instances using the SSM. But, as known; to connect to the SSM; should use the instance id. I am looking if there is a way to use the instance name instead of the instance id.

There's nothing built-in at this time to the AWS CLI SSM start-session command.

I have a public gist that is rough but working.

There is also rewindio/aws-connect but I have no personal experience with it. Your mileage may vary.
