How to bring our own carrier (BYOC) to amazon connect.

Our company currently uses a phone number provided by a specific network carrier in the US. We are planning to switch our contact center operations to Amazon Connect. However, we want to retain our existing phone number with the same network carrier during this transition like "bring your own carrier".

Has anyone gone through a similar process or have any insights on how to ensure a smooth migration of our phone number to Amazon Connect while keeping our existing carrier? Any advice on the technical steps or considerations would be greatly appreciated.

Your only option is to keep your provider and then do a fwd all to a AWS owned number (hidden number). This then allows you to easily re-route calls if needed.
