Request for Assistance with AWS Charges

0

I am Sakshi, a student from the University of Paris. I used the service for a university project and intended to use it only temporarily, but I unknowingly incurred charges by using many services. As it was my first time using AWS, I did not fully understand how to manage the services properly. To stop the charges, I tried to close my account and unsubscribe from the products, but I could not complete the process in time and was charged a significant amount. Please help me unsubscribe from all services to prevent further charges, as I cannot pay the bills. Thank you very much. If you need proof that I am a university student, I can provide my university ID card.

Hello.

If you don't need all AWS services, I think it's a good idea to delete them using a tool called aws-nuke.
This tool removes most AWS services.

Additionally, if you encounter unexpected charges with AWS, I recommend that you open a case with AWS Support under "Account and billing."
Inquiries under "Account and billing" can be made free of charge.
https://docs.aws.amazon.com/awsaccountbilling/latest/aboutv2/checklistforunwantedcharges.html

For questions about your AWS bills or to appeal your charges, contact AWS Support to address your inquiries immediately. To get help, see Getting help with your bills and payments. To understand your bills page contents, see Using the Bills page to understand your monthly charges and invoice.

Hello,

As a learner it is common to use the non free tier services which incur charges. you can have a one chance to get out of this issue without closing your account. Contact AWS Support and Request them to clear the bills as you are a learner it is normal to have bills but AWS can only show concern for the first time as you are a learner. Initially you delete all the services created by you and contact them.

AWS Support link:- https://support.console.aws.amazon.com/support/home#/case/create?issueType=customer-service

For guidance:- https://docs.aws.amazon.com/awssupport/latest/user/case-management.html

Thank You :)
