Unable to start CloudShell must verify account.Contact AWS Support

0

Hi,

I am unable to start CloudShell. I have seen others post with this problem, but the solution has never been clear to me. I am hesitant to ask what I fear could be a common problem, but as I am on Free Tier, it appears I cannot open a ticket for this. I get the below message. "Unable to start the environment. You must verify your account before accessing CloudShell. To verify your account, contact AWS Support ." But there are no instructions in AWS support page pointing me to a solution. How do I verify my account? I have tried to access CloudShell with root and my IAM designated Admin account.

I DO have permissions attached as pasted below: { "Version": "2012-10-17", "Statement": [ { "Action": [ "cloudshell:" ], "Effect": "Allow", "Resource": "" } ] }

Sincere apologies if this is a common question/problem.

Thank you

Hello.

Even if you are using the free tier, you can open a case with AWS Support for free under "Account and billing".
Since this issue is related to your AWS account, you will need to check with AWS Support and consult with them.

  • Thank you for the reply. I opened the ticket and they fixed it by the next morning, so it was nothing that I did wrong. I wanted to post this followup just to say that the problem was fixed internally by AWS.
