Linking CodeCatalyst run to Github Pull request to check status

0

Hi, I'm able to set up a project on code catalyst with my repository on Github. But I can't find a way to link the status of my run to a Pull request yet. Just simple run on PR to validate the build and test for the code of my PR, something like this for each commit that is similar as Github action for example Enter image description here

Does CodeCatalyst support to export execution status? If yes how can I integrate it with Github?

Hello @vuhai FYI - we have just released support to trigger CodeCatalyst workflows based on pull request events in GitHub.

Thank you for the feedback!

@JonJ-AWS great news, do you have a link to a blog post or What's new for this new feature? I can't see in on the document page https://docs.aws.amazon.com/codecatalyst/latest/userguide/extensions-workflow-github-repo.html Only workflow run triggering on the main branch is mentioned so far :D

Edited: Seems like it just works out of the box, I push on an opened PR and the build is triggerrf automatically :)

  • As you noticed, it should work exactly the same as for using a built-in CodeCatalyst repo!

Hi @JonJ-AWS Awesome feature delivered by CodeCatalyst, I wonder if you guys plan to have similar setting like CodeBuild delivered, which allows the build status to be visible on Github PR page? Enter image description here

Hi there, CodeCatalyst doesn't have a public roadmap yet. So at the moment, the AWS What's new and Blog pages are the best source to get to know about new feature releases.
