Domain registration taking too long

I've paid and registered for a new domain on route 53. It says domain registration in progress and it's been almost two days now. I haven't received any notification. How do I know what's going on and how long do you normally have to wait?

Hi,

Have you received the confirmation mail yet? Did you also check your spam folder? If the status is in pending that email should have been send out.

If you cannot find it, you can request to resend authorization for your registered domain, see https://docs.aws.amazon.com/Route53/latest/DeveloperGuide/domain-click-email-link.html#domain-click-email-link-register-procedure. Please verify that you have the right email registered and also verify if your organization doesn't have a firewall rule that blocks the emails from AWS.

  • I received an Amazon Registrar Sign-Up Confirmation email but there is not verification link. I cannot re-send the authorization cause I don't see anything under Registered Domains yet. I can see an entry on the domain requests but there's no option to re-send an authorization email in there. I'm also using the free tier so I'm not sure this is why I don't see these options?
