Lightsail Wordpress Critical Error

0

I was in the process of updating plugins/wordpress to 6.3 when it suddenly switched to a white screen saying critical error.

Through FileZilla, I connected, changed my plugin and theme folders to a new name (plugin.hold and theme.hold). I then tried rebooting the instance hoping that would fix it but it still shows a critical error. I also tried manually adding Wordpress 6.3 in and overriding the old files, but that ddin't work either.

Hi, did you activate LightSail automatic snapshots ? See https://lightsail.aws.amazon.com/ls/docs/en_us/articles/amazon-lightsail-configuring-automatic-snapshots.

If yes, you can revert to an earlier working version by restoring proper snapshot:.

BTW, I'd suggest first to restore such a snapshot to a new instance and keep your old one as it is for now until the new one is properly working.

Best,

Didier

Apparently, Cannot declare class WP_Metadata_Lazyloader is the error for WordPress 6.3. I am unsure how I can rollback to an older version without being able to access the site. When I tried through FileZilla it kept giving transfer fail.
