Email receiving not available in eu-central-1 (Frankfurt)

0

As recently announced (https://aws.amazon.com/about-aws/whats-new/2019/10/amazon-ses-is-now-available-in-three-additional-aws-regions/), eu-central-1 (Frankfurt) was added to the list of available regions for SES. However, the "Email Receiving" section in the SES console is still greyed out for me. The option is available, however, if I switch to the eu-west-1 (Ireland) region.

I successfully verified the domain for sending in eu-central-1 using easy DKIM, and I can send test emails to verified addresses (the associated account still being in the sandbox). Does this mean email receiving is still not available in eu-central-1? The announcement (and the documentation as far as I can tell) does not clarify this.

Thank you.

Hi nkoep,

Amazon SES doesn't currently support email receiving in the following Regions: Asia Pacific (Mumbai), Asia Pacific (Sydney), and Europe (Frankfurt).

For a list of existing Amazon SES email receiving endpoints, see https://docs.aws.amazon.com/general/latest/gr/ses.html.

Thank you for using Amazon SES.

Is it planned for eu-central-1 to support email receiving anytime in the future?

Oh my, now I do feel silly for not being able to find that overview page... Thank you for the quick response, and apologies for the question.
