IPv6 how to get a static address

how do i get a static IPv6 address

I have gotten to the point where i have an interface with an elastic IPv4 associated but the IPv6 is just a dash - and i am not finding where/screen to do the IPv6

hi, there are no IPv6 addresses only IPv4 i have done the following:

In the navigation pane, choose Instances. Select your instance, and choose Actions, Networking, Manage IP Addresses. Under IPv6 Addresses, choose Assign new IP. ...

there is only IPv4, nothing for IPv6
