1. you need to do everything as said on this page

https://docs.aws.amazon.com/lumberyard/latest/userguide/setting-up-system-requirements.html

Visual Studio 2017 Installation Requirements

 1. You may not have enough space on your disk as it may require 50GB to compile it

 2. Before creating new project you need to open the current project in editor to ensure that all is working fine

 3. you are using NDK20, it is highly recommended to use NDK19

 4. i would recommend to run "lmbr_waf.bat configure" in "/dev" folder to see if you have any dependecy issues
[WARN] Unable to initialize platform (Unable to find Visual Studio 2017 (-version [15.7.27703.2035,15.9.28307.665]) C++ compiler and/or Windows Kit : msvc: Could not find a valid Visual Studio installation for building.). Disabling platform.
This is at least part of the problem. Just ran into this myself. You probably have a slightly greater build than allowed in the range "[15.7.27703.2035,15.9.28307.665]". The last build number in the range is the latest build of Visual Studio 2017 that was tested with the version of Lumberyard you have installed.

To fix:

 1. Edit dev_WAF_\user_settings.options
 2. Go to the end of the file where the [Windows Options] are
 3. Remove the leading semicolon from the win_vs2017_vswhere_args option
 4. Change that last number in the range from "15.9.28307.665" to whatever you have installed, which you can find out by running vswhere from C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio\Installer directory, like this: vswhere -version [15.0,16.0) -property installationVersion
 5. Save the file and try running lmbr_waf configure again.

(Alternatively, if you want to take a small risk and assume that Lumberyard will work with all versions of Visual Studio 2017 that you'll install in the future, you could probably replace that last number with 16.0 instead of your exact current version.)
