Why can't I reorder Outputs in an HLS Output Group?

0

This is enormously frustrating to have to delete entire lists and re-add them in order if you want to change one thing. Is there an update coming to fix this? It's very basic website coding to enable reordering on the page itself.

**See this image. There should be little drag and drop icons on these elements in the list. **

Here is some code to show you how to do it. Can you fix this please? I'd consider this a bug tbh and it's intro level Javascript to implement.

As you noted, the service uses as-entered ordering today.

One method to re-order many renditions would be to export the job JSON; sort the rendition stanzas there; then re-import the updated JSON to create a new Job.

A second option is to re-package the asset with MediaPackge VOD, and use the 'stream ordering' feature of the Packaging Group to sort the renditions by ascending or descending video bitrate.

if you want to see new features or feature enhancements in MediaConvert (or any AWS service) we recommend lodging a Feature Request using the 'Feedback' button in the lower left corner of the AWS Console.
