PostGIS and Aurora compatibility: experience feedback

Customer would like to move his PostgreSQL to Aurora PostgreSQL with PostGIS.

As per AWS forum, this should work as RDS PostgreSQL documentation is supported and Aurora doesn't list it as incompatible.

I quickly checked I could load the postgis extension in Aurora but I don't have extensive experience with this. Are there any drawbacks, tips with Aurora + PostGIS ?

Yes Aurora Postgres also supports PostGiS. We maintain extensions parity as much as possible between RDS Postgres and Aurora Postgres. Please give it a try and let me know if you have any problems.

We are running Aurora Serverless v1 with Postgis extension, mainly for data storage, and haven't noticed problems with extension itself. Instead there has been a bunch of problems with db-connections when inserting data to DB with FME.
