Greengrass V2 - Resource management behaviour?

Hi,

I have two questions related to the management of system resources for components:

  1. If we do not set any core device nor component-specific system resource limits (https://docs.aws.amazon.com/greengrass/v2/developerguide/configure-greengrass-core-v2.html#configure-component-system-resource-limits), does the Nucleus allow unrestricted access to CPU/memory etc for components?

  2. If we apply system resource limits (e.g. memory), what action would GG Nucleus take in the event that a component tried to exceed the allocated limit? Does it throttle the component, or shut it down?

It uses the Linux kernel cgroup feature: https://github.com/aws-greengrass/aws-greengrass-nucleus/blob/8f2ca26857fc79623d6bdd185ff01f5d69de3882/src/main/java/com/aws/greengrass/util/platforms/unix/linux/LinuxSystemResourceController.java#L65

If the CPU or memory configuration key doesn't exist, no cgroup setting is applied.
