cost of a ec2 instance and resource

0

I've just set up an ec2 instance and I'm trying to work out how much it is going to cost.

I was expect to see a simple list of resources and associated costs but no.

I've now enabled the cost explorer but I still can't see a single resource just categories. I see two service groups 'EC2-0ther' and 'EC@-instances' but see no explanation for the difference.

How do I get all the costs associated with a single ec2 instance?

Is it just me or is the AWS billing system is a frigging nightmare!

Hello.

"EC2-Instances" is the charge for EC2 instances.
"EC2 - Other" includes charges such as EBS and data transfer.
I think the explanation in the blog below is easy to understand.

If you want to focus on specific instances, cost allocation tags may be useful.

If you want to estimate the cost of using AWS, I think it's better to use something like the AWS Pricing Calculator.
