Chime SMS via API

Hello,

Is there a way to send and receive SMS messaging via Chime SDK? We are not using Chime client. Currently our SIP Media application API is handling our calls and we need to do the same for sending and receiving SMS. The Chime number we configured says it can receive and send SMS (as well as phone calls). Thank you.
