The redshfit auto-snapshot retention period has expired. The snapshot does not delete and exists. why?

Hello, Currently, I set the redshift auto-snapshot retention period to 1 day. The redshift version is ra3.xplus.

As far as I know, redshift auto-snapshots are automatically deleted when the retention period is exceeded in redshift.

However, if you check the snapshot in the redshift console, the snapshot still exists even after the retention period has expired.

Can someone please assist with this issue?

Amazon Redshift retains the latest automated snapshot until you disable automated snapshots or delete the cluster. You can't disable automated snapshots for RA3 node types.

Do you see just the latest snapshot (which should be the case) or do you see multiple older snapshots getting retained?

Behram thank you for the quick response. until yesterday, Korean time, the latest snapshot (within retention period) and the previous snapshot (over retention period) were retained with.

However, when I checked today in Korean time, the previous snapshot (over retention period) was automatically deleted and only the latest snapshot (within retention period) is maintain.

I think the redshift automatic deletion is not regular but irregularly deleted when the snapshot retention period exceeds, is it correct?
