How can I get my $200 in credits

-2

I set up an AWS account with my Gmail address and got the $200 in credits. Unfortunately, that Gmail account got compromised. So I got a new Gmail account. Unfortunately AWS would not allow me to change my email address. So I signed up for a new AWs account with the new Gmail address. I did not get the $200 in credits because of the old Gmail account. So I closed my AWS account associated with the old Gmail account. For some reason, the new Gmail address I had was having issues. So I dumped Gmail and moved to Outlook. I opened yet another AWS account, this time with the new Outlook address. Outlook is working great! So I closed the AWS account associated with the second Gmail account. But AWS says I cannot get the $200 in credits moved to my new Outlook account. What can I do? I wanted to use those credits for AWs certifications.

Thanks, in advance, for your guidance.

The $200 in credits are specifically designed for new AWS customers and are tied to your first AWS account creation. These credits are a one-time offer intended to help new customers explore and learn AWS services. Unfortunately, the credits cannot be transferred between accounts or reissued if you create additional AWS accounts.

Since you've already received and used the credits with your first account (the one associated with your original Gmail address), you would not be eligible to receive them again with subsequent accounts. The program is structured to provide this benefit once per new customer, not per email address or account.

For your situation, I'd recommend reaching out to AWS Support directly to explain your circumstances. While the standard policy doesn't allow for credit transfers or reissuance, AWS Support may be able to review your specific case given the unusual circumstances with the compromised email and subsequent account changes. They would be the only ones who could potentially make an exception or provide alternative options.

Additionally, for AWS certification preparation, you might want to explore other resources such as AWS Skill Builder, which offers free digital training, or look into the various free tier services that don't require credits and can still help you gain hands-on experience with AWS services.
