Gaining access to all of my organizations

Hi All,

I am new to AWS and just set up my Management Console. I am both the root user and I have set up my IAM. A colleague who is already an AWS user set up a Development Organization (DO) under my account. However, I cannot see or access anything in the DO. He is the administrator for the DO and I received an email form him inviting me to access the DO.

My question is, did I set this up wrong? I am the Administrator and I thought I should have access to everything under me. Should I be the one who sets up the DO and then invite my colleague? Not the other way around?

How do I make sure that all of the work being done by this other person is something I have access to? I'd love help to make sure I am setting everything up correctly. Something feels odd to me about this. For example, if this person leaves my company, what happens to all of the tech and applications he built under his DO?

Hello.

What exactly do you mean by content created in the Development Organization?  
Do you mean AWS services?  
Do you get any error messages when you try to view it?  
If you are referring to an AWS service, it is possible that the management console region is different.  
Please check the documentation below to make sure your region is correct.  
If the IAM user has the necessary permissions, they can view AWS services.
