Instances turning off random

Last night our watchguard firebox instance turned off randomly. of course, all the servers could not connect to our LAN. Last week another one of the instances turned off randomly as well. Has anyone seen this happen before. they have been running rock solid with no issues for over 2 years.

CloudTrail service provide audit on user activity. In this case, CloudTrail should log who stopped or terminated your instances. More details in documentation below,
