Is there a charge for transferring ECS logs to CloudWatch?

0

Hi I've configured ECS to send logs to CloudWatch using awslog. I'm wondering if there are any fees associated with this setup, specifically for transferring logs from ECS to CloudWatch logs. According to the page, it states, 'All log types. There is no Data Transfer IN charge for any of CloudWatch.' Does this mean that there are no charges for transferring logs from ECS to CloudWatch logs? I just want to confirm if my understanding is correct.

Transferring ECS logs to CloudWatch does not incur an additional charge. However, you may incur charges for the CloudWatch Logs service based on the volume of log data ingested, stored, and retrieved. These charges are typically based on the volume of log data ingested and stored per month, as well as any data retrieval charges if you export logs to other AWS services or external destinations.
