SES stuck in weird state

My SES account is stuck in a global identity inconsistent state.

When creating a domain identity, the console forces me to choose us-east-2 as the parent region, but the resulting identity reports that the parent region is us-east-1. The parent identity does not appear in us-east-1 and cannot be created there. DKIM records cannot be viewed or configured in any region.

Please reset the SES global identity parent region for my account and reinitialize the identity metadata so the parent identity can be created properly.

May consider raising a support request to seek AWS support to reset your account SES global identity state
