GovCloud Accessibility

0

This is a very specific situation and I am getting conflicting opinions. Let's say there is a premise site. This site has a VPN into a GovCloud (FedRamp High) environment running Amazon Connect. There is an agent PC that is accessing the CCP and taking calls via the softphone. So, this PC is said to be within a FedRamp High environment.

Can this PC have access to the Internet, through which the agent is accessing a Cloud CRM application like Salesforce or ServiceNow? I mean I know the network can be configured to allow this scenario, but does that PC having internet access violate the requirements of FedRamp High? Would Amazon have an issue with this configuration?

Thank you for any thoughts.

Kurt

This is something you would need to discuss with your Compliance team or auditors. Amazon/AWS is unable to provide compliance/legal guidance for a specific customer environment.
